New course for Foster Carers
'Understand the brain, understand the child'
As a Foster Carer, you may have studied child development or have experience of parenting your own children to draw upon. However, some children you look after may show extreme or challenging behaviour that you find hard to understand and help them with.
This new child development course from GroBrain makes the latest research on brain development accessible to Foster Carers, and explores practical strategies to help.
Participants will be introduced to some practical Mindfulness activities which can help some children manage stress and anxiety. You will receive and be taught how to use the unique GroBrain “Feelings Checker”, which helps you explain aspects of the brain to children, allows children to explore their feelings and use a range of coping
